% 22.04.2015 Petitioner no.1 has married petitioner no.2 in Arya Samaj Mandir against the wishes of respondent no.2 who is father of petitioner no.1. Petitioners have approached this Court seeking police protection on the ground that they are being threatened by respondent no.2 and other relatives. Vide order dated 18th March, 2015 respondent no.1 was directed to ensure the safety of the petitioners.

Notice was also issued to respondent no.2 which has been duly served on him. Respondent no.2 has appeared in Court in person and states that he has come to know that his daughter has married petitioner no.2 in Arya Samaj Mandir on 10th March, 2015. She has married petitioner no.2 without his consent. He further stated that he has accepted

the marriage and has no intention to cause any harm to them. Statement of respondent no.2 in this regard has been recorded, on oath, separately. Respondent no.2 shall remain bound by his statement. Learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State submits that telephone number of SI Arun Ahlawat of police station Kalyanpuri has already been provided to the petitioners. He further submits that telephone numbers of SHO, Divisional Officer and Beat Constables have also been provided to the petitioners in Court today so that in case of any threat petitioners may contact these officials.

In view of above, present writ petition is disposed of with the directions to SHO police station Kalyanpuri that in case any call is made by the petitioners, SHO shall ensure their safety. A.K. PATHAK, J.
