O R D E R

% 30.07.2018 The petitioner wishes to travel outside India for a two years study programme in France from July, 2018 to October, 2020. The request is opposed by Mr. Rahul Mehra, the learned Standing Counsel for the Government of NCT of Delhi, stating that the petitioner is facing a warrant trial i.e. his requirement is necessary on each date before the learned Trial Court.

In view of the above, the learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the petition and seeks to withdraw it with a request that since the offence alleged is of December, 2015, the trial be expedited. He states that more than two and a half years have passed and only two witnesses, out of a dozen more, have to be examined.

The learned Standing Counsel states upon instructions that every

endeavour shall be made by the State to have the evidence recorded within the next six months, subject to the Daily Board of the learned Trial Court. The learned counsel for the parties submit that no adjournment will be sought by either party and they will promptly assist the learned Trial Court on every date when the case is so fixed.

The petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty, as prayed for. NAJMI WAZIRI, J.
