O R D E R

% 27.03.2017 It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes before the Delhi Mediation Centre on 21st November, 2015. Marriage of petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent on 19th December, 2016 passed by the Family Courts, Shahdara, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi.

Petitioner nos. 2 to 4 are relatives of petitioner no. 1. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court today along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Hawa Singh, P.S. Madhu Vihar. Respondent no. 2 admits having settled the matter with the petitioner no. 1 before the Mediation Centre. Petitioner no. 1 has paid remaining settled amount

of `2,00,000/- to the respondent no. 2 vide a demand draft, photocopy whereof has been placed on record. Respondent no. 2 further submits that FIR may be quashed.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the parties and that marriage between the petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 has already been dissolved, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, FIR No. 774/2015 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Madhu Vihar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.

Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
