This is an application filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereafter 'the Act'), inter alia, praying that the time for making the award be extended for a further period of six months from 14.05.2018 to 14.11.2018.

None appears for the respondent.

The learned counsel for the applicant also states that the respondent was served with the present application in advance. 5.

The learned counsel appearing for the applicant states that the arbitral proceedings are at the final stage. He has also drawn the attention of this Court to the arbitral proceedings held on 07.05.2018, which indicates that the matter is at the stage of recording of evidence of the respondent. In view

of the above, the time for making the award is extended by a further period of six months from 14.05.2018 till 14.11.2018. It is expected that the arbitration proceedings would be completed within the said period. 6.
