O R D E R

% 19.08.2016 Petitioner is in incarceration for more than 11 years. He moved an application before the respondent for grant of parole, on the ground to take care of his ailing wife and to maintain social ties with his family members and society and also to combat inner stress.

This application has been rejected by the respondent. A perusal of nominal roll shows that petitioner was released on parole in the years 2012, 2013 & 2015. He surrendered after completing the parole period on each occasion and did not misuse the concession of parole extended to him, pursuant to the orders passed by this Court. It is trite to say that every convict, who is in long incarceration, if released on parole, at least, once in a year to blend himself/herself in society and his family members, it helps in improving his mental and physical well

being.

Keeping in mind the totality of circumstances, petitioner be released on parole for a period of four weeks from the date of his release, subject to his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of `10,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of Superintendent Jail. During the parole period, petitioner shall report to SHO of the concerned police station of the area where he has to stay, once in a week.

After completion of parole period, petitioner shall surrender before the Superintendent Jail. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
