W.P.(CRL) 1617/2018 Issue notice. Mr. Mehra accepts notice on behalf of the State. The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition to seek a writ of habeas corpus for a direction that respondent nos. 1 to 4 should produce the petitioner's daughter-Ms. Rajwati who is alleged to be in captivity of respondent nos. 5 & 6.
The petitioner's daughter Rajwati is present in Court. She states that
she has married Jai Dev out of her own free will and accord and that she is happy in her matrimonial home. She states that she does not wish to return with the petitioner.
A status report is tendered in Court by Mr. Mehra which is taken on record. As per the status report Rajwati is 19 years of age. She has got married on 17.01.2018 with Jai Dev. Since Rajwati is a major and she has got married out of her free will and accord and does not wish to return to the petitioner, no further directions can be issued as sought for in the petition and the same is disposed of.
