% 18.05.2018 It is submitted that matter has been settled between the petitioner and respondent no.2, inasmuch as, settled amount has been paid to the respondent no.2, therefore, FIR No. 781/2017 under Section 135 of the Indian Electricity Act, 2003 may be quashed.

Counsel for the respondent no.2 admits having settled the matter between the petitioner and respondent no.2.

He also admits that settled amount has been received by the respondent. He further submits that respondent no.2 has no objection in quashing of the FIR. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be

served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
