The learned counsel appearing for the respondents points out that the prayers made in the present petition have been rendered infructuous. The petitioner prays that the term of the 12th Committee of the Press Council of India be extended on the assumption that the newly appointed Committee of the said Council has not been notified. He states that the 13th Committee of the Press Council of India was notified on 16.03.2018 and 30.05.2018. 3.

The petition is dismissed in default. The pending application is also disposed of.
