The instant petition was disposed of by order dated 21st August, 2024, with a direction to the Trial Court to expedite the proceedings and conclude the trial within one year from the date of the said order. 2.

A request has been received from the Trial Court seeking an extension of time for conclusion of the trial. Both parties are represented by counsel, who submit that the matter is presently at the stage of mediation and that the parties are exploring the possibility of an amicable settlement. 3.

In view of the above, the request made by the Trial Court is accepted. The time for conclusion of the trial is extended by a further period of six months from today.
