% 13.05.2016 Present criminal writ petition has been instituted under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. The petitioner claims that his wife and one year old child are being illegally detained by her father. An advance copy of the petition was served upon the State, Ms. Suman, wife of the petitioner and one year old child have been produced. We have spoken to the wife of the petitioner in the chamber and also asked her in the open court as to whether she would like to join the company of her husband and also as to whether she has been detained by her parents illegally. Ms. Suman, wife of the petitioner submits that she left her matrimonial house voluntarily and she does not wish to join the company of her husband as she has been harassed and tortured and beaten by her husband and in-laws.

The petitioner, who is also present in court has also strongly disputed the statement made by his wife.

In view of the stand taken by Ms. Suman, wife of the petitioner, no further order is required to be passed in this matter. Accordingly, present petition stand is dismissed as not pressed.
