Present matters have been listed in pursuance to Transfer petitions being allowed by the Supreme Court. None appears for the petitioners.

The prayer in the present writ petitions is to direct the respondent Union of India to consider petitioners' representation and grant extension of deadline for digitization of transmission of cable T.V.Signals, as requested, by issuing a writ of mandamus. In the letter annexed to the writ petition seeking extension of Analog Switch off Date, the petitioners had prayed for two to three months' time to deploy the new set top boxes.

Since the writ petitions were filed on 4''^ January, 2016, this Court is of the view that the present writ petitions have become infructuous. Accordingly, the writ petitions stand disposed of. lU MANMOHAN, J MAY 09, 2016 sv
