Learned APP accepts notice for respondent no. 1.

Respondent no.2 Ms. Preeti is present in Court and accepts notice. Respondent no. 2 has been identified by SI Pradeep Singh of police station Mahendra Park.

It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no. 2 are related to each other. A quarrel took place between them, which led to registration of the FIR no. 258/2014 under Sections 427/354-A/506 IPC registered at police station Mahendra Park on the complaint of respondent no. 2. Respondent no. 2 admits having settled the matter with petitioners of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion, vide a

Memorandum of Understanding dated 1st May, 2018; therefore, respondent no. 2 says that she has no objection in case aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

During the investigation, offences under Sections 354/509/34 were added. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no. 2, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending.

Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR no. 258/2014 under Sections 427/354/354-A/506/509/34 IPC registered at police station Mahendra Park and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
