W.P.(CRL) 896/2017 It is submitted that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably, therefore, FIR No.164/2016 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Rani Bagh on the complaint of respondent no.2 may be quashed. Petitioner nos.2 & 3 are the relatives of petitioner no.1. Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with her counsel

and has been identified by SI Jitender Singh PS Rani Bagh. Respondent no.2 admits having settled the matter with petitioner no.1. She submits that she has settled the matter of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that her marriage with petitioner no.1 has already been dissolved by decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 25th February, 2017 passed by Family Court, North West District, Rohini Courts, Delhi. Petitioner no.1 has handed over the demand draft of `8 Lacs to respondent no.2 in Court today towards balance settled amount. Respondent no.2 submits that she has received the entire settled amount. She submits that FIR may be quashed.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2, inasmuch as, the entire settled amount has been received and that marriage between them has already been dissolved by decree of divorce by mutual consent, in the interest of justice, FIR No.164/2016 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Rani Bagh, is quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
