% 27.03.2017 In the fresh status report dated 24th November, 2016, it has been stated by the Delhi Jal Board that water pipeline as proposed for supplying water to the petitioner‟s premises has been laid. It further states that the petitioner has not submitted its ownership proof/allotment letter along with the application form. Consequently, the present writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to apply for grant of water connection in accordance with law within a period of two weeks. In the event, such an application is filed and all the requisite documents and formalities are completed, the respondent is directed to grant water connection to the petitioner within a further period of four weeks.
In view thereof, present writ petition stands disposed of. This Court, however, clarifies that it has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the controversy.
