The petitioner had approached this Court as the petitioner was aggrieved by the action of the respondents in not publishing her change of name and of sex without insisting on Sex Reassignment Surgery (hereafter 'SRS'). The petitioner now states that her grievances in this regard are addressed as the petitioner's name and gender as desired by her have been published in the Gazette.

Insofar as the petitioner's objection to the specimen performa regarding change of sex is concerned, it is not necessary to consider the same as the grievances of the petitioner stand addressed. Moreover, a petition seeking similar relief (A v. Union of India and Anr.: W.P.(C) 3076/2016) is pending and if necessary the same may be considered in that petition.

The petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
