Savina @ Poonam v. State Of Delhi& ORS
$~49 * IN THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI AT NEW DELHI + W.P.(CRL) 1691/2018 SAVINA @ POONAM ..... Petitioner Through:
Mr. Santosh Singh Barthwal, Advocate versus STATE OF DELHI& ORS.
..... Respondents Through:
Mr. Avi Singh, ASC with Mr. Tanuj Bhaduria, Advocate Mr. Qamar Ali, Advocate for R-3 and R-4
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE NAJMI WAZIRI
O R D E R
% 04.02.2019 Respondent nos. 3 and 4, the parents of petitioner no.1 are present in the Court. Their counsel submits that as parents they are naturally concerned about the safety and security of their daughter, who has married a person of her own choice. They are disappointed by her elopement and subsequent marriage with petitioner no. 2. However, they have reconciled to the choice of her life-partner and the matrimony; there can be no apprehension to her life or security from her own parents.
At the request of the counsel for the petitioner the matter was passed over.
Ms. Kamna Vohra, the learned counsel for the State was requested to look into the matter and interact with the parties to
resolve the matter amicably.
After the passover, Ms. Kamna Vohra submits that the parties have interacted with each other for some time, they have ostensibly reconciled with each other and would like to continue to meet each other.
Evidently the apprehension of threat from the parents of petitioner no. 1 has dissipated and there is hope between the parties of further improvement of relations.
No further orders are required.
The present petition is disposed-off accordingly. NAJMI WAZIRI, J FEBRUARY 04, 2019 b
