O R D E R

% 02.08.2016 Respondent no. 4 is father of petitioner no.1, who has married petitioner no.2 without the consent of her family members, including the respondent no.4.

They married in a temple.

Respondent no. 4 submits that he has not threatened the petitioners nor has got any intention to cause any harm to their lives. He further submits that petitioners had earlier filed a petition being CRM-M No. 6546/2013 in the Punjab & Haryana High Court at Chandigarh for police protection. The said petition was disposed of vide order dated 20th May, 2013.

Respondent no. 4 had appeared before the said

High Court in the said proceedings and had stated that he had no intention to interfere with the lives and liberty of the petitioners. Learned Standing Counsel for the State submits that beat staff of the area falling in the jurisdiction of police station Gokul Puri have already been sensitized. In view of the above, writ petition has not been pressed and the same is disposed of.
