% 23.05.2018 Notice. Learned APP accepts notice for respondent no.1. Respondent no.2 is also present in Court and accepts notice. He has been identified by ASI Rajender Kumar of police station Defence Colony. It is submitted that commercial transactions between the petitioners and respondent no.2 had led to registration of FIR No. 14/2017 under Sections 406/420/34 IPC registered at police station Defence Colony. It is further submitted that matter has been amicably settled between the petitioners and respondent no.2, therefore, aforesaid FIR may be quashed. Respondent no.2 submits that he has settled the matter with the

petitioners of his own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion vide Memorandum of Understanding dated 16th May, 2018, inasmuch as, has received entire settled amount of `1 crore. He has no objection in case is the FIR is quashed.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no.2 voluntarily before the Mediation Centre, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, aforementioned FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
