The respondent - NCB has moved this application for permission to deposit the cash seized and recovered from the appellant in the Government Treasury.

None has appeared on behalf of the convict / non-applicant. 3.
Conviction of the appellant under Section 20(b)(ii)(C) read with Section 29 of NDPS Act has been upheld by a judgment dated 16.09.2016. The appellant did not claim release of the amount of `6 lacs seized during investigation.

Since the amount is lying in the malkhana, respondent - NCB is permitted to deposit the cash so seized in the Government Treasury as per rules.
