% 25.05.2018 Notice. Learned APP accepts notice for respondent no.1. Respondent no.2-Smt. Raj Kumari @ Babli is also present in Court along with her counsel, who accepts notice. She has been identified by SI Prabhakaran of police station Chhawla.

It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no. 2 are relatives. A quarrel took place between them on some trivial issue which led to registration of FIR No. 227/2012 under Sections 323/341/354/34 IPC registered at police station Chhawla. It is further submitted that with the intervention of their common friends and other family members, petitioners and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably, therefore, aforesaid FIR may be quashed.

Respondent no. 2 submits that she has

settled the matter with the petitioners of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion, therefore, she has no objection in case FIR is quashed.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
