% 28.05.2018 Vide the present petition, the petitioners, have sought a declaration that the action of the respondent no.2/school in increasing the fees for the academic year 2017-18 be declared as illegal and contrary to law. The petitioners have also sought a direction to the respondent no.1 to ensure compliance of its letters dated 12.02.2018, 21.02.2018 & 10.04.2018.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that during the pendency of the present petition, the respondent no.2 has issued a fresh fee invoice for the academic year 2018-19 by further enhancing the fees and totally ignoring the directions of the respondent no.1. At this stage, Mr. Santosh Kr.Tripathi, learned counsel, who

appears on advance notice for the respondent no.1 submits that the said respondent is already seized of the matter. He submits that respondent no.1 has after following the principles of natural justice, which included issuance of show-cause notice to respondent no.2, decided to take action against the respondent no.2 under section 24(3) and other provisions of the Delhi School Education Act. In view of the aforesaid statement made by learned counsel for the respondent no.1, learned counsel for the petitioner does not wish to press the present petition. It is expected that the respondent no.1 will take expeditious steps to take appropriate action as per law in respect of the grievance raised by the petitioners. The present petition is dismissed as not pressed. REKHA PALLI, J MAY 28, 2018 sr
