CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK
O R D E R
% 25.07.2018 Counsel for the respondent no. 2 submits that in view of the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2 on 9th December, 2017 before the Lok Adalat, respondent no.2 has no objection in case FIR No. 526/2014 under Section 135 of the Indian Electricity Act (Amendment), 2003 registered at police station Neb Sarai and the consequent proceedings are quashed.
Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the parties voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending.
Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous.
