The petitioner has filed the present petition under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereafter 'the Act') praying that the time for making the arbitral award be extended by a further period of six months from 03.09.2018.

The learned counsel appearing for the respondent joins the petitioner in making the aforesaid request.

The learned counsel appearing for the parties state that the arbitral proceedings are at the stage of examination/cross-examination of witnesses, which is likely to be completed shortly. They further state that the delay in completion of the pleadings is not attributable to the Arbitral Tribunal. 4.
Considering the above, the time for making the award is extended for a further period of six months from 03.09.2018 as the parties state that the
Arbitral Tribunal would require such time for making the award. 5.
The petition is disposed of.
