% 10.08.2016 By this petition, the petitioners seek quashing of FIR No.263/2014 under Section 135 of Indian Electricity Act, 2003 on the ground that parties have settled the matter as the petitioners have paid the entire bill amount. Learned counsel for respondent No.2 on instructions from Mrs. Jaya Thakuria, Sr. Manager of respondent No.2 states that respondent No.2 has settled the matter with the petitioner as entire bill amount of `1,95,799/- has been paid and no dues certificate has been issued to the petitioners. Respondent No.2 does not wish to pursue the above-noted FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto.

In view of the fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences of their own free will, volition and without any coercion and no

useful purpose will be served in continuance of the proceedings, it would be in the interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question.

Consequently, FIR No.263/2014 under Section 135 of Indian Electricity Act, 2003, Delhi and proceedings pursuant thereto are hereby quashed.

The petitioners and Mrs. Jaya Thakuria, Sr. Manager of respondent No.2 have signed this order sheet in acknowledgment of their statements made before this Court.

The petition is disposed of. Order dasti.
