% 31.05.2016 The present is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 seeking a direction to the official respondent to provide police protection to the petitioners.

Respondent No.2, the father of Priya Raj, petitioner No.2 herein, is present in court and has been identified by the IO, namely, SI Mukesh Yadav, PS- Jagat Puri.

Mr. Mahima Shankar, respondent No.2, states that he is not opposed to the marriage of his daughter Priya Raj to Karan Raj, the petitioner No.1 herein and has since willingly given them his blessings. In pursuance to the direction issued by this court on 13.05.2016, the SHO, Police Station- Jagat Puri, Delhi, has already afforded adequate protection to the newly-wed petitioners.

In view of the foregoing, the present petition has worked itself out and does not call for any further direction and is disposed of accordingly. SIDDHARTH MRIDUL, J MAY 31, 2016/mk
