W.P.(C) 4651/2016 Present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondentUniversity to add the marks subsequently awarded by the College to the petitioner in the internal assessment of first year. It has been averred in the petition that petitioner in 2009 got admission through sports quota in B.A. History (Hons.). Petitioner gave his third year examination in 2013, but due to non-clearance of Ancient India paper in the first year, he has not been able to complete his Graduation.

Learned counsel for petitioner states that inadvertently petitioner was not awarded additional marks in his internal assessment subjects of first year by the college on account of his having missed classes while participating in sports activities. He states that upon a representation dated 04th April, 2016 being made by the petitioner, the college admitted its mistake and awarded one-third extra benefit on account of petitioner attending sports events for the college. He states that though the respondent-College sent a letter dated 18th April, 2016 to respondent-University to make correction in petitioner's internal assessment marks 2009, the respondent-University has not taken any decision till date.

Consequently, present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent-University to take a decision with regard to respondent-College's letter dated 18th April, 2016 within a period of four weeks. In the event, petitioner is aggrieved by the decision of the respondentUniversity, he shall be at liberty to file appropriate proceedings in accordance with law.
