% 16.05.2016 Today in Court, learned counsel for the respondent-UOI has handed over a copy of the notification dated 11th May, 2016 whereby the Central Government has terminated the petitioner‟s membership with Medical Council of India with immediate effect. The same is taken on record.

In view of the aforesaid notification, the present writ petition and pending applications are infructuous and they accordingly stand disposed of.

However, the petitioner is given liberty to challenge the said notification in accordance with law, even on the grounds agitated in the present writ petition.
