O R D E R

% 10.08.2016 During the course of hearing, a settlement has been arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 1 (complainant). Petitioner has offered `6,00,000/- to the respondent no. 1 towards full and final settlement of all his claims, involved in the cheque in question. It is prayed that offence may be compounded. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, offence under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 is permitted to be compounded.

Petitioner is acquitted.

Petitioner has deposited `7,50,000/- pursuant to the order dated 13th

May, 2016 and the said amount is lying in FDR in the name of Registrar General of this Court.

Let FDR be encashed and a sum of `6,00,000/- be released by the Registry to respondent no. 1 and balance amount together with interest accrued, if any, be released to the petitioner. Revision petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous.
