CRL. M.A. 10538/2018 Notice. Learned APP accepts notice on behalf of respondent No.1. Respondent no.2 is present in the court along with her counsel. She accepts notice and submits that the matter has been settled by now with the petitioner vide Compromise-cum-Settlement Deed dated 03rd January, 2018. Her marriage with petitioner no.1 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce dated 12th April, 2018 passed by the Family Court, Rohini, Delhi. Petitioner no.1 has paid `10 lacs to respondent no. 2 by a Demand Draft dated 18th May, 2018, photocopy whereof has been placed on record. Respondent no.2 submits that entire settled amount, that is, Rs.26.50 lacs

stands paid with this payment and she has no objection in case FIR No. 200/2014 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Samaypuri Badli and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Affidavit of respondent no. 2, to this effect, is also on record at pages 21-22.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed against the petitioner no. 1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 to 4.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
