% 20.08.2018 It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no.2 were friends at the relevant time.

A quarrel took place between them on some trivial issue which led to registration of FIR No. 145/2018 under Sections 354(D)/356/ 379/506 IPC at police station Keshav Puram against the petitioner, on the complaint of respondent no.2. It is further submitted that with the intervention of their common friends, petitioner and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably vide Compromise Deed dated 23rd April, 2018, hence, it is prayed that aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings may be quashed.

Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by Insp. Brijesh of police station Keshav Puram. She submits that she has settled the

matter with petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion, therefore, she is not interested in pursuing the FIR any further and the same may be quashed.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
