By this petition, petitioners had sought protection as they were major and married of their own free will contrary to the wishes of respondent Nos. 2 to 5.

In this regard, FIR No. 207/2018 under Sections 365/34 IPC was registered at PS Sarai Rohilla, Delhi.

Learned Additional Standing Counsel for State has handed over a status report which is taken on record. As per the status report, petitioner is major and in statement recorded under Section 164 Cr.P.C. she stated that she had married petitioner No.2 of her own free will, thus the above noted FIR has been cancelled. However, there is no provision in Cr.P.C. for cancellation of FIR.

Faced with this situation, learned Additional Standing Counsel for State on instruction submits that a cancellation report has been filed before W.P.(CRL) 1715/2018

the learned Metropolitan Magistrate.

In view of the statement of learned Additional Standing Counsel for State, learned counsel for the petitioners does not press the present petition. 6.

Petition is dismissed as not pressed.
