% 20.11.2017 Instant petition came to be filed by the petitioner seeking directions to the respondents to build drainage system to rectify the problem of water logging in J-Block, Park Street, Main Road, Mayur Vihar Phase-II, Delhi.

Ld. counsel for the petitioner submits that the instant petition may be disposed off in view of the affidavit dated 17.11.2017 filed on

behalf of respondent-PWD, as also the other status reports that have come to be filed on behalf of EDMC and DMRC, for the remaning action(s) to be taken in time bound manner, to ensure that the subject drainage system is put in order. Of course, the continuous monitoring for the progress made on the subject is not really called for, especially, in view of the reports/affidavit for the steps taken and contemplated.

In view of the aforegoing, the petition is disposed off with the directions to the respondents to take the requisite steps and ensure that the subject drainage system is completed at the earliest and not later than six months from today.

It also goes without saying that the respondent-DMRC shall also restore the patch of the road, as stated in para 3 of the affidavit of respondent-PWD, within the time so provided. Petition stands disposed off accordingly. A. K. CHAWLA, J NOVEMBER 20, 2017 rc
