% 11.07.2016 In view of notification No.1078/G-4/Genl./DHC dated 6th July, 2016 the matters listed for 8th July, 2016 have been taken up today. Despite having sought time for filing the status report no status report has been filed by the learned APP for the State. By this petition, the petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No. 188/2011 under Sections 354/509 IPC registered at PS Bhajanpura, Delhi on the complaint of respondent No.2 Shakil Ahmed on the allegations that the petitioner used to tease the minor daughter of respondent No.2. Petitioner and the Respondent No. 2 are present in Court and are identified by their respective counsels. Respondent No. 2 states that he has CRL.M.C. 1844/2016

settled the matter with the petitioner and in terms of the settlement arrived at between the parties, he does not want to pursue the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto.

In view of the fact that the parties have settled the matter of their own free will, volition and without any coercion and no fruitful purpose will be served in continuance of the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them as the parties are living in neighbourhood and are known to each other, it would be in the interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. Consequently, FIR No. 188/2011 under Sections 354/509 IPC registered at PS Bhajanpura, Delhi and proceedings pursuant thereto are hereby quashed.

Parties have signed this order sheet in acknowledgment of their statements made before this Court.
