O R D E R

% 28.09.2018 Mr. Mahajan, the learned counsel for the State submits that after the incident complained of, the petitioner's security has been enhanced as under:- "

After the said incident, a complaint was filed by the petitioner no. 1 and subsequently fresh threat assessment exercise in respect of the petitioner was carried out by Special Cell, Delhi Police. As per the threat assessment, it has been recommended that security cover already given to the petitioner is sufficient and may be continued and it has also been recommended that in addition to the existing police cover, one police constable may also be added till the arrest of accused Vijay Pehalwan. It is further submitted that the Beat/Division staff, ERV and RP Motorcycle staff have been briefed to remain vigilant in the area and to do regular patrolling in area of and near his residence to ensure the

safety of the petitioners. The mobile numbers of the Beat/Division staff have been also provided to the petitioners in addition so as to call immediately in case of an emergency." The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that recently, while the petitioner No.1 had travelled abroad, the security accorded to him was withdrawn, exposing his family to possible harm from persons inimical to him. He further submits that often petitioner No.1 has to travel outside the NCT of Delhi on business, hence, security may be provided to him during such occasional travel as well. The said request would be considered by the State and security, as may be deemed requisite, would be accorded to him. Mr. Mahajan, the learned counsel for the State, assures the Court that due security shall be accorded to the petitioners. The petition stands disposed-off in the above terms. NAJMI WAZIRI, J.
