O R D E R
% 22.08.2016 Petitioner seeks parole on the ground of maintaining social ties with family and also for repairing of house.
Address of petitioner has been verified.
It may be noted that petitioner was released on parole from 4th March, 2015 to 1st April, 2015 pursuant to orders passed by this Court. It is not the case that he has misused the concession of parole extended to him. Even thereafter, he was released on furlough in the months of April and August, 2015.
It is trite to say that a convict in long incarceration, if released on parole once in a year, it aids to his physical and mental well being.
Keeping in mind the totality of circumstances, it is ordered that petitioner be released on parole for a period of four weeks from the date of his release, subject to his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of `10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent. Petitioner shall report to the SHO of the concerned local police station once in a week and give his contact number to the SHO. Petitioner is also directed not to leave the territory bounds of the area within the jurisdiction of concerned local police station and after completion of parole period he shall surrender before the Superintendent Jail.
Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Copy of the order be sent to the Jail Superintendent for compliance. A.K. PATHAK, J.
