The present petition has been filed by the petitioner, who was working on the post of a Constable with the CRPF, praying inter alia for issuing directions to the respondents to process his disability claim by approaching the department of Peace-Keeping Operation of the United Nations, so that he can be reimbursed for the amount spent by him on account of permanent impairment of his left ear suffered while posted in the U.N. Peace-Keeping Mission in Liberia in the year 2015. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that despite several representations submitted by him to the respondents and enclosed as Annexures P-5, P-6 and P-7 with the present petition, the respondents W.P.(C) 4729/2016

have failed to respond to any one of them, thus compelling the petitioner to file the present petition.

Having regard to the fact that the respondents have not given any reply to any of the representations submitted by the petitioner, it is deemed appropriate to dispose of the present petition with directions issued to the respondents to consider the submissions made by the petitioner in his representation dated 20th May, 2015, and to convey its decision within eight weeks from today under written intimation to him. If the petitioner is aggrieved by the decision that may be taken by the respondents, he shall be at liberty to seek his remedies as may be available to him in accordance with law.
