The present petition has been filed by the petitioner praying inter alia for issuance of directions to the respondent-CISF to grant her compassionate allowances/pension as her husband, who was recruited in the Indian Army on 26th May, 1978, was dismissed from service on 9th April, 1998, on account of his conviction in a criminal case under Section 302 of IPC.

It has been enquired from learned counsel for the petitioner at the outset as to whether any representation has been submitted by the petitioner to the respondents before approaching this court, to which the reply is in the negative.

In view of the aforesaid position, we do not find it appropriate to W.P.(C) 4736/2016

entertain the present petition directly. The petition is disposed of with liberty granted to the petitioner to submit a substantive representation to the respondents within two weeks from today. Upon receiving the said representation, the respondents shall consider the same in accordance with law and covey its decision within six weeks from the date of receipt thereof under written intimation to the petitioner. If the petitioner is still aggrieved, she shall be entitled to avail of the remedies as may be available to her in law.
