The petitioner has filed the present petition impugning a notification dated 11.05.2016, terminating the name of the petitioner as a member of the Medical Council of India (MCI).

The petitioner contends that his name as a member of the MCI could not be curtailed and the said order is illegal. However, it is pointed that by The Indian Medical Council (Amendment) Ordinance, 2018 the General Body of MCI has been superseded and replaced by a Board of Governors. 3.

In view of the above, the petitioner seeks to withdraw the present petition with liberty to reserve all his rights and contentions. 4.
