The petitioner seeks anticipatory bail under Section 438 Cr.P.C. in case FIR No.2412/2015 registered under Section 376 IPC at PS Mangolpuri. Status report is on record.

By an order dated 20.05.2016, the petitioner was granted interim protection and was directed to join the investigation as and when required. Status report reveals that the petitioner has joined the investigation since then. It further reveals that the petitioner and the prosecutrix were acquainted with each other.

The petitioner was a married lady and left her matrimonial home. She started living with her mother at A-742, Mangolpuri, Delhi.

Friendship developed between the two.

Physical relations were established on several occasions. When the prosecutrix threatened to lodge complaint BAIL APPLN. 1055/2016

against him after he established physical relations on 12.12.2015, the instant FIR was lodged. The delay in lodging the FIR has not been explained.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner is granted anticipatory bail and in the event of arrest, he be released on furnishing personal bond in the sum of ` 50,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the SHO/Investigating officer. He shall, however, join the investigation as and when required.

The bail application stands disposed of.
