After some hearing, counsel for the appellant sought liberty to withdraw the appeal, at the same time, reserving his rights to challenge the order of 16.05.2016 in appropriate proceedings taking all grounds including the grounds urged in the writ petition and the appeal. Liberty granted.

The appeal is dismissed as withdrawn along with all the pending applications.
