% 28.01.2019 Aggrieved by the inaction of the respondent in case FIR No. 51/2018 under Section 3(1)(x) of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 (in short 'SC/ST Act') registered at PS Amar Colony, the petitioner in this petition prays that despite registration of FIR, no effective steps have been taken during the course of investigation and thus, the status report be called from the police as to the investigation carried out.

A status report in response to the writ petition has been filed by the State. As per the status report, the caste certificates were collected and both the parties were made to join the investigation. Proxy counsel for the learned Additional Standing Counsel, on instructions, from the Investigating Officer submits that the investigation is complete, the chargesheet is being finalised and will be filed before the Court within two weeks.
