This hearing has been conducted through hybrid mode. 2.

The present appeal has been filed by the Appellant - Vinod under Section 374(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, assailing the Judgment of conviction dated 29th April 2006 and the order on sentence dated 02nd May, 2006, passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi, in Sessions Case bearing No. 28/2006 arising out of FIR bearing No. 825/2005 registered under Sections 363/366/366-A/376 IPC at Police Station Gokalpuri.

The Appellant was convicted for offence punishable under Section 376 IPC.

The Trial Court Record as well as the Nominal Roll of the Appellant has been perused.

It is stated that the Appellant was released from jail on 22nd December, 2009 after completing the sentence awarded to him. The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

The Appellant has submitted that as he has already undergone the entire sentence awarded to him, and therefore he does not wish to press the present appeal, as the same has become infructuous.
