Despite passover, none is present on behalf of the petitioner. 2.

The petitioner has filed the present petition seeking anticipatory bail in case FIR No.19/2017 under Sections 420/506/120B registered at PS Mehrauli.

Though no interim protection was granted to the petitioner on 4th June, 2018 when the matter came up before this Court on 5th July, 2018, learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the petitioner has arrived at a settlement with the two complainants for a sum of ₹35 lakhs out of which he had already paid ₹10 lakhs and the balance amount of ₹25 lakhs will be paid on or before 15th August, 2018, thus interim protection was granted to the petitioner. On 28th August, 2018 the petitioner again sought further four weeks' time which was not granted and the matter was renotified for a week. BAIL APPLN. 1371/2018

Out of the balance amount of ₹25 lakhs a cheque of ₹3 lakhs was handed over to the complainant namely Parvinder Yadav @ Parvinder Singh on 5th September, 2018 which was encashed. Further amount of ₹22 lakhs was handed over in Court on 17th September, 2018 stating that the four cheques will be honoured and there will be no liability left on the petitioner. Parvinder Yadav @ Parvinder Singh and Vivek Anand Gupta, the two complainants are present in Court. They state that the four cheques i.e. two of ₹5 lakhs each and two of ₹6 lakhs each have been dishonoured. This appears to be reason for non-appearance on behalf of the petitioner in Court today.

Petition is thus dismissed for non-prosecution. MUKTA GUPTA, J.
