% 11.07.2016 Issue notice. Counsel for the State accepts notice. Notice is also accepted by respondent no.2, Pooja who is present in court in person and the IO identifies her. A copy of her Aadhar card has also been placed on record. The petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No.80/2015 under Section 498A/406/34 IPC registered at PS Nanakpura. The case of the petitioner is that the marriage between the parties was solemnised on 23.01.2014. On account of differences, the aforesaid FIR came to be registered against the petitioner. However, in January 2016, the parties have settled their disputes out of court amicably and respondent no.2 is now residing with her husband at her matrimonial home. She states that she has voluntarily and without
any undue pressure and coercion agreed to the settlement and also agrees to the quashing of the FIR in question.
Accordingly, in the interest of justice, the petition is allowed and the aforesaid FIR stands quashed.
