O R D E R

% 15.05.2018 Learned counsel for the respondent no. 2, on instructions of respondent no. 2 present in Court, submits that respondent no. 2 does not wish to file reply. It is submitted that respondent no. 2 and petitioners have settled their disputes amicably before the Mediation Centre, Dwarka Courts, New Delhi on 4th March, 2016 vide Annexure P-2. Respondent no. 2 accepts the settlement, which has been arrived at of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. Respondent no.2 submits that she has no objection in case FIR No. 19/2013 under Sections

498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Palam Village and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed, in view of Clause 5 of the settlement dated 4th March, 2016 subject to petitioners withdrawing the contempt petition filed before the trial court. Petitioner no. 1 Raju undertakes to withdraw the contempt petition on or before the next date of hearing. Petitioner no. 1 shall remain bound by this statement. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 19/2013 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Palam Village and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
