% 27.08.2018 The petitioner seeks bail. He is aggrieved that the case is progressing at a glacial pace. The case was last listed on 07.10.2017, when the next date for recording of the prosecution's evidence was given for 19.11.2018 i.e. almost more than 13 months thereafter.
The learned counsel for the State, referring to the Status Report, submits that evidence of the public witnesses have been recorded and only the evidence of the doctor and the Investigating Officer remain to be recorded. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, seven more witnesses remain to be examined.
In view of the fact that the petitioner has been incarcerated since 23.07.2014, the Trial Court is requested to expedite the trial and recording of the remaining witnesses. The parties shall appear before the Trial Court concerned on 31.08.2018 when recording of the evidence shall be preponed to 17.09.2018, and it is hoped that it would be concluded in two-three month's thereafter.
The petition stands disposed-off in the above terms. A copy of this order be given dasti to the learned counsel for the parties under signature of the Court Master.
