+ W.P.(CRL) 1843/2018 BRIJESH KR GOYAL ..... Petitioner Through:

Mr. Ajay Singh, Mr. Kishan R. Rana & Mr. Ashok Kumar, Advocates versus THE STATE (GOVT OF NCT OF DELHI) ..... Respondent Through:

Mr. Rajesh Mahajan, ASC for State with ASI Vijay Singh, PS Jafrabad

CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE NAJMI WAZIRI

O R D E R

% 04.07.2018 According to the Status Report filed by the Delhi Police through the SHO, Police Station Jafrabad, Delhi, petitioner's daughter, Ms. Shivani, has attained the age of majority on the basis of the Aadhar Card provided by her. She has informed the Police that she entered into matrimony with P-2, Mr. Nitin, son of Mr. Ram Kumar of her own volition and the latter cannot be held guilty of any criminal activity on the basis of the complaint filed by the father.

The learned counsel for the petitioner/father submits that insofar as his daughter has entered into matrimony of her own volition and choice, he cannot have a grievance in the matter, and therefore, he does not wish to press the petition any further.

The local police shall furnish two telephone numbers to the young couple - the petitioners, including one of a lady police officer. These

numbers shall be kept operational at all times so that the couple, if in distress, may intimate the local police for redressal. Mr. Rajesh Mahajan, learned Additional Standing Counsel appearing for the State, assures the court that such telephone calls or intimation to the police shall be promptly attended to. Additionally, the Beat Constable too shall enquire about their security on regular basis for a month from today. The petition is disposed off in the above terms. NAJMI WAZIRI, J JULY 04, 2018 rd
