Status report has been handed over which is taken on record. 4.

By this petition, the petitioner seeks parole on the ground that he has to file the Special Leave Petition as also to maintain social ties. The petitioner was convicted in case FIR No.754/1996 under Sections 302/328/34 IPC registered at PS Mangol Puri Delhi which judgment of conviction and order of sentence was upheld by this Court by dismissing Crl.A.No.531/2002 on 8th March, 2018. During the pendency of the appeal before this Court, the sentence of the petitioner was suspended. Thus he was not in custody from 27th January, 2003 to 19th March, 2018 whereafter he W.P.(CRL) 1901/2018

surrendered to the jail authorities on dismissal of the appeal. 5.

Considering the fact that after the dismissal of the appeal, the petitioner surrendered only on 20th March, 2018, this Court finds no ground to grant parole either on the ground to file the Special Leave Petition or to maintain social ties.

Petition is disposed of.
