% 08.04.2019 The present writ petition had been filed by the petitioner to seek reliefs at the pre-election stage to challenge the election process. Vide order dated 27.06.2018, this Court did not grant any interim relief as sought by the petitioner. Thereafter, the elections have been held. The seriousness with which the petitioner has been pursuing the matter after 27.06.2018 can be seen from the fact that the counsel for the petitioner did appear on the two dates i.e. 24.07.2018 and 29.08.2018. Even thereafter, only the proxy counsel has appeared on 11.10.2018 and 13.03.2019. Once again counsel - Mr. Narula seeks an adjournment for today. Counsel for the respondent points out that after the conduct of the elections, they were challenged before the Supreme Court in Special Leave Petition(c) Diary No. 32196/2018 and the said Special Leave Petition has been
dismissed by the Supreme Court on 07.09.2018. It appears that the petitioner is unnecessarily avoiding these proceedings. Since the elections have been held, if the petitioner has any remedy available in law despite the aforesaid developments, he may pursue the same.
Dismissed.
