O R D E R

% 15.06.2018 The present petition has been filed by the petitioner inter alia praying for issuance of writ of mandamus granting parole to the petitioner for a period of three months to look after his old aged parents.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the mother of the petitioner aged about 80 years had undergone knee replacement of both the legs is presently suffering from old age ailments; that the father of the petitioner is also aged about 85 years; that in the intervening night of 8th - 9th June, 2018, the mother of the petitioner slipped in the bathroom and received severe injuries; that the petitioner is only son of his parents to look after them. Learned APP for the State enters appearance on an advance notice and filed a status report. It is stated in the status report that parents of the petitioner are residing at H. No. 27, Maurya Enclave, Pitam Pura, Delhi and they are suffering from old age ailments and are regularly visiting doctors for treatment. Heard.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case that the mother of the petitioner has recently fallen down and received injuries, is of very old age and the petitioner is the only son who is presently undergoing life sentence, has been

granted parole on previous occasions which he has not misused. Let the petitioner be released on parole for a period of 10 days, subject to: i) his furnishing personal bond with one local surety in the sum of Rs.25,000/- to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent; ii) he shall duly surrender at the end of the period of parole; iii) he shall provide his mobile number to the Jail Superintendent at the time of his release, which shall be kept in working condition at all times. The same shall not be changed without prior intimation to the Jail Superintendent; iv) he shall also not indulge in any criminal activity during the period of parole.

Copy of this order be given dasti under the signatures of Court Master. A copy of this order be communicated to the Jail Superintendant concerned.
